About this project
Volunteer Memphis, along with the City of Memphis Fire Department, will be leading this year's commemoration, which marks the 25th anniversary of the tragic attacks. We share a common belief that by neighbors helping neighbors, we can strengthen our country for decades to come. Volunteer Memphis's goal is to enlist volunteers to recognize and honor our Mid-South First Responders. On this day of service, Volunteer Memphis, along with community partners and sponsors, will provide meals to members of the military, City of Memphis Fire, EMT, EMS, and Police personnel, as well as Shelby County Fire, EMT, EMS, and Sheriff personnel. This commemorative effort will include: • 9/11 Lunch & Honor Hour (volunteers picking up and dropping off food at local fire stations) • Kick Off and Remembrance Rally
